About Me

ME

Welcome to Vegging Out

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I am a writer, and trainee nutritional therapist, with a lifelong interest in health and nutrition.

I grew up close to the coast and countryside with parents who loved to grow their own veg and who have always been environmentally conscious (no, they weren’t hippies!).

I like to think the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree, even though with my very small and public garden I haven’t yet been too prolific in the gardening department, so I choose to ‘buy local’ instead.

Vegging Out was born in 2008 when I won a veg box for a year. My last box was delivered in mid-January 2009, but Vegging Out continues with all things veg and will develop to include all things natural, local and nutritionally good.

My camera is the love of my life and most of the images on this blog are mine (the pictures below are of me by my Dad). You can see some of my food photography here.

Please feel free to add your comments to posts or contact me.
